Hi,

I am trying to verify the Canadian address using the Address Object API but I am facing an error as follows after valid.

"StatusCode as "X" and Error String “Canadian Zip Code” for Canadian Address"

In MelissaData documentation I found that "X" indicates "Address was not coded" or "Undeliverable Address".

I tried to check the same address through the demo application available on Melissa data site. But it throws the error as follows from "InitializeDataFiles" method. (Code available at : ftp://ftp.melissadata.com/updates/comdemo.zip )

" Could not open the INDXKEY1.TXT or INDXDIC1.TXT or Database file. "

I used addresses file - "canada.mdb" file as a database file. Is that is wrong? Or I am not setting any additional required property like I set "PostToCanadaFiles" property!!

Please help. Please provide me the path of data file for canadian address if it needs to be downloaded.

Maulik

Hi Maulik, first you must set a PathToCanadaFiles. You will also need a license string to verify Canadian addresses. Please call the sales department at 1-800-melissa option 1 and they can set you up with a link and license string to verify Canadian addresses.
