I am trying to debug this error, and figured I'd post it here in case
any others run across it.

We have a data processing system that had to be recreated. It
originally had WinXP SP2, MS Office SB2003 + 07 Compatibility
Pack SP1, MatchUp 3.028 and a few other apps.

In recreating, we wiped the hard drive - reloaded WinXP & SP2,
Office SB2003, and MatchUp 3.028.

When trying to print reports to Excel, MatchUp states that Excel
isn't loaded.

I've tried uninstalling MatchUp and reinstalling. Tried uninstalling
MS Office and reinstalling, etc.

I'm not sure yet what the fix or solution is - but will post back
when I get MatchUp's Print to Excel back on this machine.

There was an issue with Printing to Word or Excel - that was fixed with version 3.030. You can download the most recent version (download the demo) from the MatchUp web page...

After installing this update - over your current version, we can see if this eliminates your problem.

That fixed it - THANKS!

Prior to this update, I uninstalled both Office and MatchUp. Then installed Office first, then MatchUp, then the compatibility pack (which was the original order of installation on the original PC setup).

The versions of MatchUp had been updated from their original install, sequentially with various update DVD's along the way. I didn't recreate this process on the reinstall - just used last DVD.

This time it got further though, begin to compile and generate the Excel report, then at the end it failed with COM error - Invalid pointer.

Anyway, thanks for your prompt response and solution!
